| TOOL NAME: SIMLIB (SIMulation LIBrary)
TECHNOLOGY: Electrical
FUNCTION:
SIMLIB contains DIGITAL and industry standard logic simulation models.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
SIMLIB contains various categories of parts you might need for
logic simulation. The categories of models that SIMLIB contains are:
* SSI, MSI, LSI and VLSI DIGITAL parts;
* SSI, MSI, LSI, and VLSI industry standard parts;
* Memory Devices (ROMs, PROMs, EPROMs, EEPROMs, RAM);
* Miscellaneous models;
* AUTODLY models;
* Zycad models;
* Realmodel shells.
STATUS:
In use.
AVAILABILITY:
If you wish to use the models in SIMLIB, your group must obtain a
subscription to it. For more information, contact the ECAD
Simulation Group by sending mail to ECADSR::HOTLINE.
INTERFACES:
SIMLIB is a model library for DECSIM and AUTODLY.
CPU/OPERATING SYSTEM:
VAX/VMS
SOURCE LANGUAGE:
DECSIM/AUTODLY simulation language
ADVANTAGES OF TOOL:
SIMLIB is closely modeled after DECLIB, DIGITAL's representational
parts library for schematic entry on Valid, to ensure that both
libraries will have the same, or similar, parts. The close
correspondence makes it easier to move design data from Valid to
DECSIM and AUTODLY. DECLIB provides only graphic representations
of bodies, while each model in SIMLIB represents a structural
and/or behavior model model of the device's operation and timing.
LIMITATIONS OF TOOL:
The SIMLIB library presently supports only digital logic simulation.
Analog support will be integrated into SIMLIB in FY89.
RESPONSIBLE ORGANIZATION:
ECAD, send mail to ECADSR::HOTLINE
TRAINING:
There is no training available for SIMLIB.
DOCUMENTATION:
The "System Simulation SIMLIB Modeling Guidelines" manual
captures and organizes specific standards and methods established
for the generation, test, release and support of all models
included in the System Simulation Library, SIMLIB.
There is also a chapter in the "ECAD System Simulation Process"
manual which discusses SIMLIB.
To order a copy of either manual, send mail to ECADSR::DOCUMENT
specifying your mail stop.
