Hello, are there any experiences in using FTSO for file transfer from Digital UNIX system to a MVS host and viceversa. The scope of application is archiving on the hosts tapelib. Are there any requirements on the host side other/ more specific than the 'executing FTP server' of SPD? More restrictions besides file segmentation? Kind regards Michael Knoor IST MM&EC Cologne 860-6438

Michael, We never tried to transfer files in BASIC or FTPMODE between a system running an FTSO client and a MVS machine. However, I will say that it should work. Of course, since FTSO doesn't exist for the MVS platform, you can't use FTSO in Normal mode (FTSO on both side) and consequently, you don't have any segmentation. Rgds, Didier. |
