6455.0. "Looking for documention - MCC140_IGUIDE_VMS.PS" by CSC32::R_RAKOFF () Tue Jul 02 1996 22:55

    Have a customer who states:

       I am looking for the correct IGUIDE documentation
       for POLYCENTER Terminal Server Access for
       Open VMS off of the Open VMS March 1996 Software
       distribution pack. The postscript files in
       [MCCTSAM014.DOCUMENTATION] are for Framework.
       The file that I am looking for according to the
       MCCTSAM014_IGUIDE.TXT file is MCC140_IGUIDE_VMS.PS.

    I looked on the June '96 CDrom and below is the info found:

       POLYCENTER (DECmcc) Installation Guide for VAX OpenVMS
       ------------------------------------------------------

       This Installation Guide is not available in text format. It is
       available only
       in PostScript format or in hardcopy.

       The PostScript file is named MCC140_IGUIDE_VMS.PS

       To obtain a hardcopy of the guide, please contact your local Digital
       sales office and quote the part number AA_PD58*-TE.

    Looked at this file MCC140_IGUIDE_VMS.PS, and Don is right it says it's
    for Framework.

    I looked in VTX Price for part number AA_PD58*-TE, even tried
    AA-PD58*-TE, and still nothing, it says NO SUCH PART #.

    Does anyone have a valid copy or pointer to the real postscript
    file/documentation??

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Robin

Hi Robin,

I've copied same documents in a public directory located
at : TAEC::USER4:[MCC_PUBLIC.INFO] (TAEC address is 51.40).

You will find :
	MCC140_IGUIDE_VMS.PS;1              2310  (RWED,RE,RE,RE)
	TSAM_FINAL.PS;1 	            6302  (RWED,RE,RE,RE)

Hope this helps you.

    Philippe, the infomation you gave is wrong. The file
    MCC140_IGUIDE_VMS.PS;1, is for Polycenter Framework v1.4, plus in that
    directory TAEC::USER4:[MCC_PUBLIC.INFO] in file MCC140_IGUIDE_VMS.TXT;1
    it mentions the same wrong part number AA_PD58*-TE.

    Any other ideas where to look???

6455.3TSAM is part of MCC240 and not MCC140DSVB03::TABONEThu Jul 04 1996 14:3617
Robin,

The right book speaking about TSAM installation is :

MCC240_IGUIDE_EMS (part number AA_PAKUE-TE)

which is the Polycenter Network Manager 400 Installation.

You will find the text and postscript version at the same
location as before.
TAEC::USER4:[MCC_PUBLIC.INFO]MCC240_IGUIDE_EMS.PS;2
TAEC::USER4:[MCC_PUBLIC.INFO]MCC240_IGUIDE_EMS.TXT;1

I hope they are what you are looking for.
