6451.0. "pb to draw a circuit" by PRSSOS::NOBRE (Jocelyne Nobre - CST France) Thu Jun 06 1996 16:24

	openVMS 6.1 , DECmcc 1.4

	My customer encounters problem when he tries to draw a circuit
	on his map . I reproduce his problem :

	double-click into a node entity
	double-click into routing
	double-click into  circuit

	select circuit CSAMCD-0
	open the toolbox
	select circuit inside the toolbox
	-----> "add entity - enter entity information"
		circuit : CSAMCD-0
		select the type of line ( line , double-line , circle ,square)
	-----> OK

	>> Move pointer to a map window and use MB2 to draw <<

	use "look up" to go back to the map where the node icon is
	use MB2 to draw
	and : NOTHING appens , no error message .

	I use the same method to draw a circuit for node4 entity with
	no problem

	Thanks a lot for help,
	Regards ,
	JOcelyne.

6451.1A workaround seems to work !DSVB03::TABONEWed Jun 12 1996 10:1125
Hello Jocelyne,

I've also reproduced the behaviour and I think I have
a workaround. Before click on OK pushbutton to draw
the circuit, do the look up to get the map before, and
you will be able to set your circuit.

	select circuit inside the toolbox
	-----> "add entity - enter entity information"
		circuit : CSAMCD-0
		select the type of line ( line , double-line , circle ,square)
NOT NOW	-----> OK

NOT DISPLAYED	>> Move pointer to a map window and use MB2 to draw <<

	use "look up" to go back to the map where the node icon is
YES	-----> OK

	use MB2 to draw
	and   : that runs

Hope this helps you.

	Thanks a lot for your reply .

	I have done exactly what you say but the circuit does want to be
	drawn !

	I click MB2 on the first icon , press the button to the second icon

	: the link appears but when I release the button , it desappears
	without any message ...

	regards,
	JOcelyne.

Jocelyne,

Same behaviour, but I get an error message box : " Invalid argument type".

	You have this message because you have to give the exact name of
	the circuit in the " add entity - enter entity information"
	for example : CSMACD-0

	JOcelyne.
6451.5Do you want to IPMT the problem ?DSVB03::TABONEThu Jun 13 1996 15:137
Bonjour Jocelyne,

I have reproduced the problem. If you need a correction, thank you to log
an IPMT escalation and we will do our best asap.
