6444.0. "another %MCC-E-ILVTOOBIG prolem." by STKHLM::BERGGREN (Nils Berggren,SI Sweden 876-8287) Fri Apr 26 1996 15:21
Hi all,
I've a customer who just added a HP MIB to the dictionary successfully.
I think the MIB-definition file is the one that came with the MCC V1.3
kit, HP_MIBDEF.TXT.
They have problem doing the following:
MCC> sho snmp ps-han1 HP NM SYSTEM GENERAL FILESYSTEM FILESYSTEMTABLE *
Using default ALL IDENTIFIERS
SNMP ps-han1 hp nm system general fileSystem fileSystemTable *
AT 26-APR-1996 12:27:17 Identifiers
The requested operation cannot be completed
VMS Routine Error = %NONAME-W-NOMSG, Message number
00000000,
MCC Routine Error = %MCC-E-ILVTOOBIG, no more room in
buffer for additional values
When doing the same operation on another object it works OK:
MCC> sho snmp ns HP NM SYSTEM GENERAL FILESYSTEM FILESYSTEMTABLE *
Using default ALL IDENTIFIERS
SNMP ns hp nm system general fileSystem fileSystemTable (119543296,0)
AT 26-APR-1996 12:32:53 Identifiers
Examination of attributes shows:
fileSystemTable_Index = ( 119543296,
0 )
The difference between the systems are ps-han1 has 4 fileSystems and
ns has only 1.
I read the the max size is 10k which to me seems to be big enough.....
What could be the problem? What to do....
Thanks,
Nils
