6421.0. "Trap arguments missing?" by ZUR01::FUEGLISTER (Roland Fueglister, 760-2498) Tue Jan 30 1996 14:12
What are the prerequisites that MCC displays the arguments of an
enterprise specific Trap?
I'm issuing RMON Traps from an RMON probe(Packetprobe90) to DECmcc. I receive
the traps, but the most important information, the arguments are missing.
I have compiled an enterprise specific MIB with 2 traps defined (fallingAlarm,
risingAlarm). The MIB compiler first failed, because the Variable definitions
are part of the RMON mib and are NOT specified in the vendor-specific mib.
Therefore I had to exclude the Variable definitions.
I have used the following command to display the traps:
mcc>notify domain xxx, entitiy list=(snmp yyy frontier), event=(any
configuration event)
I'm using DECmcc V1.4
