I am using DECMCC (VMS) v1.4 to monitor a number of DECswitch 900EF and DECConcentrator 900MX I have added RFC 1512 to the dictionary and can browse down through the FDDI mib to get to FDDI FDDIMIB FDDIMIBPORT FDDIMIBPORTTABLE to see the individual ports of the concentrators. However if I do the same with the DECswitch there are no ports shown. It simply says there no children. I have DECswitch 900EF attached as Dual Attached and single attached via the 900 backplane. I'm not sure if this is a MIB problem or a DECswitch problem. Any ideas?? John Davies

Did you load the mib after decswitch was registerd under MCC??

Do you have any connection on the front 7 Ports of decswitch??

I have both situations.
A DECswitch 900 in the main FDDI ring i.e. A and B ports on the front.
Two decswitch on backplane as S ports.
I have tried everything. Both FDDI tree and DEC EFFDDI tree show
exactly the same results. I need to ascertain which end is failing.

I have both 900MX and EF..and I have no problem
going down the MIB tree ...
