Hello, I'm using DECmcc 1.4 on a VAX system (VMS 6.1) and i manage DECNIS 500 and 600. They supports ROUTING and BRIDGING functionalities, so i want to receive BRIDGE events from the DECNIS. But, when i try to add the events in the notification file, i get the following message: No entities in this domain support the requested events The entities are well configured because i can enter the following commands: "Manage/enterprise show node DECNISNAME bridge all char" and it works fine. Then, if i try to enter the following command: "getevent node * bridge", i received the message: %MCC-I-NOPARCMD, BRIDGE %MCC-I-SYNTAXERR, Syntax error -- unable to interpret remainder of line %MCC-W-EVENTUNKNOWN, unknown event ID BRIDGE Notice that i have the same problem with CHDLC events. Thanks for your help.

I has the same problem with chdlc events on temip some time ago. The temip engineering group provided a new dictionary which corrected the problem. You may be running into the same problem with the mcc dictionary for both bridge and chdlc events. Scott | |||||
