Hello, my customer use daily job on DECscheduler to enable alarms om DECmcc: (VMS 5.5-2, DECmcc 1.4, DECscheduler) $ DISABLE DOMAIN * RULE * $ ENABLE DOMAIN * RULE * $ SHOW MCC 0 ALL STATUS, AT START=23:59:50 $ EXIT Normally job stop at 23:59:50 and restart after few seconds (at 00:00:00). Sometimes job hungs so new job cannot run: manual job reset needs to restore alarm collection on framework. Have you any idea? Thank for you help. Regards. -- Paolo

Hi, more details about the problem. After we abort the job to reset environment all pending notifications are immediatly delivered to notification window. No errors are showed into log file. Regards. Paolo | |||||

Hello Paolo, Couldn't this be a synchronization problem ? Is the customer running a cluster ? if yes are the systems synchronzed properly? Basicaly Scheduler does nothing more that the same operation done by hand, so did you reproduce this by hand ? I would be tempted to think that your cudstomer's problem comes from an unexpected sequence of events... Best Regards. Eric Beroud. |
