My customer tries to use TCP/IP Diagnostic Assistant V1.4
I installed the kit on my station ( mcc 1.4 ) and
I reproduced his problem :
SUPMCC>man/ent
DECmcc (V1.4-1)
MCC> test mcc 0 tcpip_da_fm
MCC 0 TCPIP_DA_FM

Examination of attributes shows:

TCP/IP DA daemon is not running on supmcc; further diagnosis cancelled
I tried other commands but it's always the same error message.
The license decmcc-ems is active on my system. Is there another
license for that product ?

Hello Jocelyne, Following the documentation, you can use the diagnostic assistant only against Ultrix or unix hosts. As SUPMCC is a VMS node it's a normal behaviour. Try with an Ultrix target and don't forget to install the deamon. Regards, Philippe Tabone - DECmcc Maintenance Team - | |||||
