6363.0. "environment variable for bpt" by COMICS::PRICEC (I had a life, then I joined the CSC) Wed Aug 23 1995 13:01

On VMS the logical MCC_SYSTEM indicates where to find the MCC_SYSTEM
files such as BPTs. What is the comparable environment variable on
MCC ultrix please ? or does the BPT always *have* to be in
    /usr/mcc/mcc_system ?

    	Thanx, Conrad

Conrad,

I am not sure of what you mean by BPTs, but on ULTRIX (and OSF/1), the variable
used generally to redefine /usr/mcc/mcc_system is MCC_SYS_LOCATION.

Best regards,

Marc.

Thanks, BPT = binary parse table , the file that links commands to the
dictionary. I seemed to be missing the link to that file, even though
    it existed.

6363.3I was barking up the wrong treeCSC32::PRICEMoved from UVO to CXOTue Sep 19 1995 20:5819

Just to close this note , on a customer system they were unable to
issue any commands to the domain class.

In the Dictionary, the class domain existed, I didn't go down the tree
    to check all the definitions.

    I re-enrolled the domain_fm , and it *didn't* replace any definitions,
so it obviously hadn't enrolled properly the first time.

The cus was then able to register node4s in the domains.
