Hi, To monitor and ATM link between two gigaswitched using the AGL2 card with ATM pmds, requires rfc1695. RFC1695 requires rfcs 1440-1452. This implements SNMPv2 managment layers. MCC T1.4-1 and V1.3 won't load the above rfs so I can then load rfc1695. This means no digital customer can use MCC to monitor a gigaswitch ATM link. What can I do to fix this? Is there another way to get there? Thanks in advance, John.

Try your question in SCHOOL::GIGASWITCH or NOTED::ATM better. My guess is that all the rfc 1695 stuff is to be used with an SNMP v2 manager. But if you just need to manage an AGL-2 card with DECmcc, try to compile the last version of gigaswitch mib ( including ATM subtree ). You'll find it on gatekeeper.dec.com in /pub/DEC/Gigaswitch directory. The name is mib_gs_130.txt . If you need the extended LAN capabilities, get the mib_gs_130_and_elan_270.txt mib on the same location. Hope this helps. Guy. |
