Dear all,
It is with great pleasure and proudness that I'm announcing
The availability of TeMIP V3.0 EFT (including TeMIP Framework,
TeMIP trouble and Fault management and TeMIP OSI Access Module
Toolkit) on Digital Unix V3.0 as per planned.
This release makes TeMIP : THE ONLY TRUELY DISTRIBUTED
Telecomunication Network Management Platform in the market place.
This main feature, added to the new state of the art Graphical
User Interface and the new Correlation and Filtering engine as
well as many other customer driven enhancements gives you a
unique opportunity to enforce/augment your Telecom or
International Corporation market penetration.
Thanks to everybody for the excellent work in these past months
that have made TeMIP present in all the bids in the Telecom
market with a real success.

TeMIP V3.0 External Field Test kit (T3.0.0)

We are pleased to announce that the External Field Test kit(T3.0.0)
of TeMIP V3.0 is available.
Note that the previously known TeMIP Framework and TeMIP TNM Fault
and Trouble Management products are now packaged into this single
software kit.
Please read the release notes documents provided with the kit for
information about new features and restrictions.
The TeMIP installation requires that TeMIP licenses be loaded
prior to installing the product.
In order to get TeMIP licenses, send mail to the TEMIP account,
TAEC::TEMIP, giving your mail address to receive the PAK.
TeMIP licenses are provided *FOR INTERNAL USE ONLY*.
The Field Test sites will receive their PAKs directly from TeMIP
Product Manager Philippe Gervaise and must not use the internal
PAKs.
This software is for licensed field test sites approved by TeMIP
Product Manager and also for general internal use only.
TeMIP for OSF/1 T3.0.0 External Field Test kits are available
on the Easynet and can be found at the following locations :

You can use dcp -iv to copy the kits. Please copy the kits outside
of working hours (8:00 am - 6:00 pm European time), as they are
located on a production system.
Note : European time is US Eastern time + 6 hours.
The kits can be copied via anonymous ftp from
unitel.vbo.dec.com (16.36.128.99).
The tar files should be unpacked with "tar -xvf filename",
then installed with "setld -l ."
The TeMIP Framework T3.0.0 FT documentation is available in PostScript
format in the following location on the EasyNet.

We are pleased to announce that the TeMIP OSI Management Toolkit V2.0
External Field Test kit (T2.0.0) is available.
The TeMIP OSI Management Toolkit V2.0 brings OSI Network management to the
distributed capabilities of TeMIP V3.0.
Please read carefully the Release Notes before installing the product.

INTRODUCTION:
This questionnaire is designed to clarify both the customer's
responsibility and Digital's responsibilities regarding the
prerequisites necessary for the field test of TeMIP Framework and
TeMIP V3.0 product.
Please fill in the administrative questionnaire and
send it back as soon as possible to the above address; the
technical questionnaire, needed by our engineering to better
understand the complexity of the environment where the product is
running, will be answered to after having run the field test for
some time.
The questionnaire will also help ensure that the sites eventually
selected to participate in the field test will adequately test
the features of this product to provide meaningful feedback to
Digital.

person or group responsible for the day to day maintenance of
the platform.
o Field test sites must have the following minimum software:
OSF/1 V3.0
o Field test sites must sign Field Test License agreement.

certification of destruction letter at the conclusion of the
field test.
o Field test sites must be willing to provide timely feedback to
