   1) Availabilty of TeMIP V2.0-A
   ==============================
   
   
   The new TeMIP V2.0-A release is now available through the European 
   SSB. This new release of the whole TeMIP product set (ie. TeMIP 
   framework and developer's toolkit, TeMIP, TeMIP OSI and ASCII AMs) now 
   supports Digital UNIX 3.0 (ex DEC OSF/1) and SMP systems.
   
   This release is NOT a mandatory update but will be made available to 
   customers under their ONE year licence warranty.  
   
   Of course all previous part numbers and prices are still the same.
   
   
   
   
   
   2) TeMIP V1.1 and PNM200 1.3 to TeMIP V2.0-A UPGRADES
   =====================================================
   
   
   This is supported through Digital standard migration policy :
   
   	75 % maximum discount from V2 list price
   
   
   Note as well that specific part numbers are available for TOEMs. 
   
   Please contact Product Management to get actual Q numbers.

   
   

   
   
   3) PNM200 1.3 or 1.4 on Ultrix (DECmcc) migration packages
   ==========================================================
   
   
   These packages are suited for PNM200 on Ultrix customers ONLY. 
   
   They are note targetting the PNM200 or 400 VMS installed base.  
   
   
   They are available now and thus can be sold to our Ultrix Customers 
   willing to get the most of our our Alpha AXP systems and the benefit 
   of long term commited and enhanced Network Management Platform.

   4) TeMIP V2 support services
   ============================
   
   
   I would encourage you to check all your customer contracts to ensure 
   they are covered by at least one of these MCS offers. Anyway, for 
   those being in production mode this should be mandatory to ensure the 
   right level of support.


MCS offers    types of service 

1: Remedial service (TeMIP Appl Env Svc for 1 Node) : problem troubleshooting ,
						      break fix.

	This service provides Remedial and Advisory support for any mixture of
	TeMIP products running on a single node . 

	This service is not included in the warranty, can be purchased at

	Description :
	
	Digital Multivendor Customer Service (MCS) offers Telephone support
	services for TeMIP products set that run on DEC OSF/1- ALPHA AXP and
	ULTRIX-RISC platforms. 

	The service deliverables include:
		- Managed problem resolution ;
		- Advisory Telephone Support ;
		- Problem Analysis and isolation ;
		- Software Workaround and Bugfix distribution ;
		- Dedicated Digital contacts .

	The service deliverables does not include:
		- Support of application developed on the top of the
		  product list attached below ;
		- The New Version Licence Subscription ;
		- Installation ;
		- Training ;
		- Developer support .
         
	This service will be delivered by MCS OFF-SITE specialists who are
	knowledgeable in ULTRIX and OSF/1 and Network management technologies.
	When appropriate ON-SITE actions will take place .

         
         
         TO WHAT SPECIFIC PRODUCTS DOES THE SERVICE RELATE?
         	
	This service is available only to customers who purchased a
	TeMIP solution . All the products below are entitled to Application
	Environment Support when running on the same node and covered by a
	QR-SMTMP-AA service contract.

   6) TeMIP V3.0 and miscellaneous

   a) TeMIP V3.0 :

   	- External Field Test will start on April 21st
   
   	- Field Test update will start mid June 
   
   	- Shipment will start in August
   
   
   A document describing what's new in V3 will shortly be made available 
   in the TAEC::TEMIP$PUBLIC repository.
   
   
   b) Licencing :
   --------------
   
   Please be aware that a new pricing scheme will be applied for V3.0.
   This sheme will cover either monolithic (standalone) or distributed 
   (client server) or object (TOEMs) licences.
   
   Find below a summary of this scheme :

   		- TeMIP functionality needed (Framework, AH, OSI, ...)
   		- Number of PM users
   
   o TeMIP Distributed :

   c) Loan licences : 
   ------------------
   
   For prototype/trials you can now order loan licences of up to 6 
   months. So please use this channel as much as possible to avoid asking 
   TeMIP engineering to provide you with internal PAKS.
    
   They are available through the standard part numbers :
   
   QL-xxx-LA for a 90 days loan or QL-xxx-LG for a 180 days loan.
   
   
   d) Reminder :
   -------------
   
   Development toolkits used in customer projects should be billed to 
   customers in the first phase of your project. Indeed TeMIP Engineering 
   must get revenue recognition for these toolkits so that they can be 
   supported and enhanced. 
   
   
   e) Project news and forecasts :
   -------------------------------
   
   I would be very happy to receive (if not already done) from you a one 
   or two paragraphs describing the customer project(s) you're working 
   on, as well as expected forecasts for the next 6 to 18 months, both in 
   terms of TeMIP licences and overall budget. I know that times are 
   tough, but this will help me building the TeMIP future enhancements 
   that will make you future business.
