Hello,
I'm really pleased to announce the availability of the new TeMIP
product set release that will let you or you customers benefit from
OSF/1 V3.0 and SMP systems support. Thanks to the all the teams that
made this possible after the 2.0 release in November, in parallel with
the tremendous effort being pursued for the V3.0/Distributed TeMIP
still on schedule for a Summer release.
These TeMIP Framework V2.0-A and TeMIP V2.0-A will not bring any new
features, but only some (actually very few) bugs correction.
The TeMIP OSI and ASCII Access Modules Development toolkits will be
released in a couple of weeks after TeMIP and the Framework. Separate
announcement to come will give more details.
This V2.0-A is not a Mandatory Update release, but previous V2.0
product set version will become obsolete and as such, all registered
(known) customers will be warned about this new release and should
receive update kits.
First Customer shipment is scheduled for mid-March, but internal kits
are already available, please see attached mail for more info on kit
location and content.
Please note as well that SPDs will be changed to reflect the OSF/1
V3.0 and SMP support, any other information remain unchanged (eg. part
numbers).
I would like to recall to your attention that standard support
services are available for the TeMIP Product Set and should be
proposed to our customers. I'll be sending you in a few days a TeMIP
newsletter giving you all the details you may need around this
services and the migration/incentive packages that will be made
available to your PNM200 1.3 or 1.4 on Ultrix and TeMIP V1.0 or V1.1
customers as well as news about the V3.0.
