6219.1 | what do you want to do? | DPDMAI::GALVIN | The Energizer Bunny's Trainer... | Thu Jan 26 1995 03:35 | 14 |
| Rich,
The obvious first question is... have you looked in MCC_COMMON for a
MIB that supports VXT? Aside from that, I can't imagine what useful
information could be obtained from an X terminal that you might want to
look at using MCC...smile. What are you trying to do?
Don't get me wrong... I'm not a devloper or a moderator of this
conference... I'll let the boys oversees answer... I just keep tabs on
this conference as an *avid* MCC user 8^)

Hello Mic,
just to put expectations right - in my role as moderator I periodically check
that this file still exists and is accessible (i.e. the notes server does not
run out of quota as happened recently) and may direct some lost field test or
problem escalation entries to the right place.
The MCC developers may read/answer this notes file as their work load permits,
but don't count on it. For problems that need formal assistence please log a
call.
What gives life to this Notes file are devoted MCC users like you. I am very
happy that we are having them.

6219.3 | just making sure | CSC32::R_STEWART | Rich Stewart - CSC/CS | Tue Jan 31 1995 13:41 | 13 |
| Hi Mic,
I looked for a MIB in MCC_COMMON and on gatekeeper.dec.com and
did not find one. I have a open call from a very sophisticated
and very picky customer that says "The one HP has for it's X-Terms
provides useful network monitoring information". I didn't want to
say no until I had done a thorough check for such a thing. So I
was just making sure before answering the customer.
Thanks for the reply :^)

6219.4 | Did you check VXT2000 engineering ? | AZUR::DURIF | | Wed Feb 01 1995 09:35 | 15 |
| Hi Rich,
In general people get MIB's form the equipement manufacturer.
Here in MCC engineering we cannot provided MIB's for
all equipements.
Ask the group who manufactures the VXT2000.
Please let us know if you get the MIB so we can put it
in our next MCC version.
regards,
Benoit DURIF
