| Now that your question was answered, I'll bet you next one is "How?".
From command line (aka FCL) use a "To File" argument, and the results
of the operation will go to a file on the disk. Then its a simple matter
of parsing that file to build the commands you want to execute based
on the results.

Thanks for the replies.
Let's refine this a bit further.
Does MCC have the capability to do this without me having to do any parsing
so that I can simply execute a command from within MCC which will produce
an NCL script?
(I appreciate it won't be able to give me information about write-only
attributes, but I can live with that)

Do you mean a NCL script that would show the same things?
Or an NCL script that would set up some, but not all parameters?
Sounds like what you want is a real AI AI AI application.
This sounds like a great chance to sell some customization services.
