6143.0. "Problem with notify command with MIR." by TPLAB::DEMOOR () Fri Oct 21 1994 07:17

We have a customer for which we have written an am to control his applications.
This module has been used with DNS as namespace for the last two years.
To try to improve performance I have prepared an mcc system with a local mir
file on a disk that is not used by anything else but mcc.
I used an adapted version of mcc_dump_ns.com to recreate everything in the MIR
( adapted to add the Sabin entities, the entities representing the application we are
controlling ).
I also used move_maps, and everything seems to work fine, with an enormous improvement
on performance.

We have enabled notification for several events for our node4 entities, and that works
fine, as it already did on the production system.

However notify domain .primair entity list = ( sabin * ) , event = ( Any Event )
gives the following error :

	Encountered an exception

	No matches found for
	entities or rules requested.

Apparently mcc doesn't now any sabin instance name because when I specify one I get the
same error.

The node4 and sabin entities are registered in the mir file as follows :

	node4

	Registered name : .dna_node.c01r01
	Name : c01r01
	Address : 2.1

	sabin

	Registered name : .sabin.c01r01
	Name : c01r01
	Address : 2.1

The entities have a different fullname, but name and address are the same.
Again, this works fine on a system that uses DNS, but fails with a MIR.

The getevent sabin c01r01 any event command works fine.

Do you have any idea what this problem could be and how this problem could be solved ?

	Thanks,

Kurt
