| Hello,
MCC doesn't support officially for now Ultrix 4.4, regression tests were not
done against 4.4, but no major issues should appear.
Regression test should be done on the new field test release before the end of
1994.

| My memory (sometimes faulty) has it differently.
The testing and decision to support 4.4 was done and made
before VBE took over support. E.g. about 10 months ago.
There were some CLD's that were with MCC on 4.4 and rather
than tell the customers "Dont do that" we did some of the testing here
and made the decision to support it. No, the SPD never got updated,
but for all intent it was supported.

Would you recommend my customer to go with Ultrix 4.4 and DECmcc in a
project, where they can't upgrade the systems in the next 2 years ?

| Since you can no longer get support for Ultrix 4.3,
it seems you dont have much choice. The folks in France
may refuse to talk to you, but support from them is something you need to
talk to them about.
