Hi, One of my customers, a large dutch bank has a MDF (BRS) cluster installed along with a DECnis as X.25 gateway. The customer also has an IBM mainframe connected via an SNA gateway. The management of this environment is being largely automated using DECmcc and various other Polycenter products. The Bank wants to monitor this configuration from the central Netview console. Critically or potentially critically disruptive situations need to be reported to Netview. In the light of the switch to PCNV; Can you tell me whether a Netview link solution consisting of DECmcc+Polycenter SNA manager in combination with the Solve-Connect product will: - Function properly for both alarms and two way interaction? - Be supported for approx. 1 year? (until Jan. 1996 time frame) Regards, Rob

Definitely YES. This was one of the major advantages of this solution. And I'm speaking from experience - it works as advertised! > - Be supported for approx. 1 year? (until Jan. 1996 time frame) I'll leave this to product management. *Robert |
