    I have MCC V1.3 on a VMS 6.0 host (VS4000-90) having difficulty talking
    to specific DECnisses.
    
    
    	I find that requesting hdlc link info from certain nisses returns
    correct info, but requesting the same info from another nis (same
    software versions) ,the mcc request never completes cleanly, and
    either doesn't return me to the mcc command line or returns the error;
    
    
    MCC> show node wycnis hdlc link * , in domain = .lvi.high_wycombe
    Using default ALL IDENTIFIERS

    A CMIP REJECT message was received
                     Reject General Problem = General Problem Unrecognized
    									APDU
     
    tracing nsp on the nis, shows that some hdlc data is encoded, and the nis
    believes that it has returned the data in response to the request, but
    mcc doesn't appear to realise this.
    
    
    Has anyone else encountered this , or does anyone have any pointers as
    to what may be going wrong here ??
    
    native ncl has no difficulty communicating with the Nis.
