6045.0. "decnis bridge forward delay" by COMICS::PRICEC (J Conrad Price DTN 833-3269) Tue Jul 12 1994 10:44

    Looking at the bridge forward delay value on a DECnis , I find
    that MCC has difficulty modifying this value.

    Native NCL has no problem setting the value , but whenever I try to
    modify it from MCC I get either ;

    "validation error" when using the iconic map

    or

    MCC> set node uvohi1 bridge forward delay 24 , by user = system,by pass
    = commsunit
    %MCC-I-NOPARCMD, 24 , by user = system,by pass = commsunit
                     ^
    %MCC-I-SYNTAXERR, Syntax error -- unable to interpret remainder of line
    %MCC-E-OUTOFSUBRANGE, value not in subrange

    from the command line.

    Perhaps somebody could let me know the valid subrange (from MCC's point
    of view )

    I can see the attributes within the MCC dictionary , so I'm confused as
    to why MCC can't modify these params for me.

    Any ideas ?

	Conrad

6045.1May be your dictionnary is not in phase with your DECNISAZUR::DURIFWed Jul 13 1994 03:508
Hello,

Even if you use V1.3.0 version of DECmcc the bridge description in
the dictionary may be older than what is is in the DECnis.

An updated version is available at NSM.

    Thanks for the response, however this facility was even around when MCC
    V1.2 existed , and MCC allows you to show the attribute. It just won't let
    you set the attribute.

    Forgive my ignorance (for agreeing to support MCC) , but what is NSM
    please ??
