I'm runing DECmcc (v1.3.0) on a 6000 running VAX/VMS V5.5-2 and we
just upgrade the ethernet controller and installed a DEMFA. (fiber
board) I cant seem to find what I need to change in mcc to have it
work again. We were on an mna-0 and we are now on mfa-0. Anything I
try doing on mcc now I ge4 the following dump
MCC> show bridge b1r8b6a all att
%SYSTEM-F-ACCVIO, access violation, reason mask=01, virtual
address=0263D154, PC

You could try MCC> show bridge b1r8b6a all att, via port fxa0: Do other entity classes work, e.g. node4 ? Officially you're out of luck; MCC is NOT supported over FDDI controllers! *Robert | |||||

And, if it is as I remember, several FMs do not support the via port
qualifier. Specifically you cannot create alarm rules that include
this qualifier.
Unless you really need the DEMFA for DECmcc purposes a suggestion is to
run with both the Ethernet and FDDI controller. Run DECnet, LAT, etc
over FDDI and let DECmcc use Ethernet. The only potential gotcha is mcc has
to see the Ethernet first in its list.
