6016.1 | this is an IMPM error ! | TAEC::FLAUW | Marc Flauw, CEM Technical Office, VBO | Mon Jun 13 1994 06:12 | 16 |
| Neal,
The error %MCC-E-PM_DSCALEERR can only be generated by the Iconic Map PM and not
by the FCL PM.
If your base note is correct and you are getting this message at the FCL PM, it
is likely to come from a problem with the plib file.
One way to check it is to rename the plib file(/usr/mcc/mcc_system/msg806.plib).
Then redo the test and look at the error code displayed in hexa. check the value
against the mcc_msg.h file to see if it corresponds to DSCALERR or to another
error.
Best regards,
Marc.

| Marc,
Thanks for the reply.
Maybe I'm being a bit thick, bit where is the mcc_msg.h file, I've done a
find / -name mcc_msg.h -print, but can't find it.
I will, however, ask the the customer to rename the .plib file and give me the
hex code.

Neal

| Neal,
The file mcc_msg.h can be found in /usr/mcc/mmtoolkit/include
It should also be present in /usr/include as a link.
Best regards,
Marc.

| Marc,
I found the file after I installed the developer's toolkit !!!
I have done as you asked and the customer received %x0326DE12.
This is defined in mcc_msg.h as:
#define MCC_S_PM_DSCALEERR 52878866
I have asked him to enter invalid verbs and mis-spelled entities and they
correspond to the expected error messages.
I have done a "$exit %x0326DE12" with MCCMSG.EXE set in VMS and that produces
%MCC-E-PM_DSCALEERR, Software error: graphical scaling error
I must admit that it does seem to be a strange error to be associated with a
command carried out in the FCL.
Could this be something to do with the way he has upgraded the system ?
Regards
Neal
