5983.0. "%MCC-E-ALERT_TERMREQ, thread termination requested" by KERNEL::EVANSN () Fri May 06 1994 12:33

A while a go I placed note 5969 in this conference and have not received a reply
to it.

Anyway, I have a little more information. I have found that if I specify an RDB
file for the export target which I have not used before, then the exporter
background process does not die. However as soon as I attempt to export to that
file then the background process dies with the above error message.

Any ideas how I can further isolate this problem as I still have the call open ?

A little more info on this problem.

The customer is running RDB 5.1 multiversion.

I have run accounting and the subprocess that is started by the exporter is
failing with:

%MCC-E-SQLERR, error executing SQL statement

Can anybody give me any pointers as to why it should fail in this manner ?

Has anybody ever successfully used exporting with V6 VMS, and if so, how ?

Is there any way I can futher isolate this problem ?

The SPD clearly states that RDB V5 is not supported.

Sssssooooo, can we expect MCC to support such wild things as VMS 6 and
RDB 5.n ?? , or has the lucky customer reached Netview/6000 time !

I see no reference to RDB V5.n in SPD 32.48.04 , however SSA 32.48.04-B
    references RdB/OpenVMS Runtime V3.1B-V4.0 , but no V5.1 .

I accept that I'm new to the organisation, not yet familiar with Enet so
perhaps soemone could point out where I would get info on the latest
    versions of supported layered products.

It clearly states that V5.* is not supported by saying the V3.1B thru V4.0 are the only
supported versions.
