    When I open up the GIGAswitch ICON i get a listing of the object groups
    for MIB-II and the entry "dec".  Through "dec" I can navigate to the
    GIGAswitch MIB.  However I don't see the FDDI MIB or Bridge MIB, and if
    it is somewhere else I haven't figured out how to navigate to it.  Can
    someone give me a pointer on what I need to do to be able access the
    FDDI and Bridge MIBs?

	Are you looking for the STD FDDI mib of the EXP FDDI mib. If I remember, the gigleswitch used the experimental one. Same for the bridge mib. In any case, load both of them, as there is no conflict. drl

	I am looking for the standard FDDI and Bridge mibs. I can find the efddi and ebridge MIB in the dec branch of the tree. The dictionary browers shows the standard MIBs are loaded. I'm trying to get to the dot1d fields and haven't found how to get there. It's as if the standard leafs aren't in the tree as Polycenter Framework views it. When you say "the gigleswitch used the experimental one", does this mean that the references to FDDI MIB and Bridge MIB in Table D-2 on page D-6 of the GIGAswitch Manager's Guide June 1993 is incorrect? 	Starting from the top of the domain after you have clicked on the GIGAswitch snmp icon you should see the fddi and dot1dbridge objects along with the dec one. Sounds like you have gone down to far. Rene'

	Starting from the top after I click on the GIGAswitch I have the MIB-II object labels and dec, no fddi and dot1dbridge object. If you mean open the MIB-II SNMP object to see fddi and dot1dbridge, the MIB-II SNMP object has no children. Any suggestions?

	Never mind. The missing piece was that I needed to go into the toolbox and register the desired MIB. Engage brain first.
