Hi, I'm not real versant with networking problems, but I have received the following DSNlink request from a customer. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks, -Rick MCI/MCST ======================================================================== MCC version 1.3 on VMS platform. VAX has UCX with TCP/IP. I am using the mcc test directive to check reachability to SNMP entities. Most times that an ICMP redirect message is received back from a router the test fails. If I ping the same entity from UCX I get 1 line stating that a re-direct was received and then a message that the entity is alive. Is there anything that can be done within mcc so that it doesn't fail when a redirect is returned. This problem seems to be based on the number of hops between MCC and SNMP. The further away, the more apt the failure.
