5916.0. "DECmcc DIR and DECnet OSI" by FUJIS2::VERMETTE () Thu Mar 24 1994 12:25

    We have upgraded our system from Decnet OSI V5.6A to V5.6B. We also
    have the DECmcc director kit V1.2.3 installed. Is it necessary to
    re-install the MCCDIR kit after upgrading OSI?

    Thanks,
    Jim

     I think that DECmcc V1.2.3 is unsupported. I would strongly recommend
     that you updgrade to DECmcc V1.3.

     Best regards,

     Marc.
5916.2Generic questionFUJIS2::VERMETTEFri Mar 25 1994 09:207

    For our project it is supported. Maybe my question should be more
    generic. When upgrading DECnet is it necessary to reinstall MCC?

    Thanks,
    Jim

5916.3Shouldn't need to re-install.BWTEAL::W_MCGAWFri Mar 25 1994 11:1610
    Hi Jim,

    (If you'll answer my question <note 5917>, I'll answer yours $:-)

    Just kidding. I installed DECnet-OSI after running DECnet-VAX
    Extensions and did not need to re-install DECmcc. I was currently at
    BMS V1.3 but I don't think that should make a difference. Are you
    experiencing problems as a result?

5916.4no problems as of yet!FUJIS2::VERMETTEWed Mar 30 1994 13:2910

    Not seeing any problems and I have not seen any documentation that
    talks about this condition. However, I was prompted with the question
    and cannot find a definitive answer.

    We are going to upgrade to V1.3 shortly. What question?

    Thanks,
    Jim
