5907.0. "problem graphing live data on a node4" by BWTEAL::W_MCGAW () Thu Mar 10 1994 12:06
Hi,
I have a customer who is experiencing problems graphing live data over
a remote link. His MCC workstation is connected to the local network
which has a Cisco router on it. The router has a fiber link to another
building/network where the graphed node (node4) resides.
The customer clicked into the node4 line and then used MB3 to start
graphing. He had selected statistics and chose defered, single and
multiple collisions. After a period of time, the single collisions
stopped updating while the other two continued to function correctly.
The strange thing was that the little man never stopped running and he
never observed any missing data points. The graph for only the single
collisions just stopped updating. If he clicks on the stop sign and
then the arrow, it resumes normally. Why aren't we seeing any errors
when this occurs?

| Does anyone out there have any ideas of what to look for regarding .0?
Does anyone in engineering know of any logicals that can be set that
will possibly provide more information?
Thanks,
Walt
