5892.0. "Duplicate alarms notification." by COPCLU::EBC () Fri Mar 04 1994 08:49
Have we overlooked something here?
What we have is an alarm that triggers on "circuit up"-events from a decrouter
250. The alarm is enabled by never-terminating batch-process.
The event is received only once (as displayed by opcom) and the alarms fired
procedure runs only once.
A notify request has been created automatically to display alarm events for the
current domain and a notify request has been created manually to display configu-
ration events for node4 events in the domain.
The "circuit up"-event is notified correctly once as a configuration event, but
TWICE as an alarm event.
What could cause it to be displayed twice ?
If the same alarm is additionally enabled by the users process, the number of
notifications is again doubled (for a total of 4). Is it normal for an alarm to
generate a notification for every enable-invocation ?
