5821.0. "Entity doesn't change color" by ZPOVC::KHENGLIM () Mon Jan 17 1994 02:23

Hi...

I have configure Polycenter DECMCC V1.3 on DECstation 5000/240.

The problem is that whenever alarm rule zpoptl_test is enable,
only the domain .domain.ip_singapore change color but not the
entity zpoptl.  Pls Advise!!

  The Iconic Map PM will behave differently depending on the identifier
  attribute you are using when adding an entity in a domain.

  Here you have two ways name your entity : SNMP zpoptl and SNMP .ip.zpoptl
  Only one of the two naming will be able to react to events (if you have
  added your SNMP node using 'zpoptl', then try '.ip.zpoptl', it should
  work better).

  Hope this helps.

  Regards.
