5813.0. "DTSS events & NODE4 Entity" by TRN02::PIOVANO (I was meditating, not sleeping...) Wed Jan 12 1994 06:11

    Hi guys,

is there any chance to get DTSS event (354.*) in MCC using the
    GETEVENT NODE4 ...??

I know that is possible to create a DTSS notify request under DECMCC
using NODE entity (getevent node PHASEV_NODE DTSS any events) but
I need to get these events under NODE4 entity.

I've tried to do this stuff, configuring the DecNet(IV) loggin monitor
to send the event 354.* to MCC_DNA4_EVL. But, no luck!!, using getevent
    node4 * any events.

    There's a possibility to do this ? (modifying then node4 ms ??...)
Why the getevent directives for 'any events' don't get 'ANY EVENTS' ??

    			I hope I'm not disturbing...

I doubt that this will work. DNA4 AM has to relate DECnet IV events to
MCC events and this usually needs some coding in addition to the
management specs.

Any Events is just an attribute group consisting of all MCC events for
this particular (child-) entity. So it does not mean 'any event that
could come from a node running DECnet IV', it means 'any DECnet IV event
known to the DNA4 AM'; and this does not include DTSS as this would be a
completely different entity.
