I have a customer who is having trouble installing MCC-FDS V1.2 after she has installed BMS V1.3. The MCC-FDS install is coming up with a "BMS needs to be installed" error on an ultrix/risc system running 4.3 and I was wondering whether this is an error indicating an incompatability with V1.3 BMS as it seems not to recognise the BMS installation. regards John Moretti CSC Sydney, Australia 612-561-5109

For anybody who is having this trouble I have found the fix in the MCRFDS120.scp file where it does the dependancy check and is looking for the same version of MCRBMS as MCRFDS and this can be overcome by touching the files MCRBMS120.lk and MCRDIR120.lk in /usr/etc/subsets. Customer touched these files and the instal completed successfully and ran OK. There are a couple of other ways to fix this in the script but I'm just a dumb country boy and this worked fer me by golly... John |
