5785.0. "IP Reachability Poller unstoppable" by COPCLU::SANDGREN (Keep it simple) Wed Dec 15 1993 09:23
VMS VA5.5-1, DECmcc V1.3, TCP/IP Services V2.0D, Polycenter
IP Reachability Poller.
Customer claims the function 'Disable Polling in Current Do-
main' does not work at all.
Notifications from unreachable IP nodes still keep coming
when they should not do. Only thing that works is to do
stop/id=<pid>.
Anybody know what's going on here?

Read carefully. It says '...in Current Domain'. There could be other
polling request active for other domains or you could be in the wrong
domain. The process only stops after ALL polling request have been
terminated. Furthermore, the disable alway says 'ok'. It does not check
if there really was anything to disable! So be sure you are in the same
domain where you enabled polling from.
