5731.1 | What sort of problem? | MARVIN::COBB | Graham R. Cobb, Internetworking, REO2-G/G9, 830-3917 | Fri Nov 12 1993 08:56 | 12 |
| There are many possible problems. You need to supply more information.
1) Can you get events logged from the DECNIS to anywhere? Try logging them
to a DECnet/OSI system without using MCC.
2) Does the Outbound Stream State on the DECNIS go to state On Connected?
3) Has the DECNIS been told its node name? (Use NCL> SHOW NODE <decnis>
NAME). Does it match the name you are using in MCC *identically* (including
the namespace name and the case of the letters)?

5731.3 | Not a stupid question | MARVIN::COBB | Graham R. Cobb (Routing), REO2-G/C2, 830-3917 | Thu Nov 18 1993 07:12 | 7 |
| But the answer is no. You need one of the following to receive events from
a DECNIS: DECnet-VAX Extensions (also known as Wave 1), DECnet/OSI or MCC.
DECnet-VAX Extensions and DECnet/OSI can put the events in the operator log:
the DECNIS documentation has some information on how to set that up -- try
the Problem Solving Guide (only available on-line) or the Management Guide.
