Hi,
We are trying to register a ds300 as an entity in MCC. We are using the
station .We are running WAVE3 and we are using MCC V1.3.
By the first registration ,by the use of the iconic map, it fails and gives
the message "console carrier maybe in use".(Strange because nobody is using
the terminal server).By the second try we get a message MCC-E-GETCHANERROR
(error assigning a channel to device).By the third try we get also SYSTEM-F-
EXBYTLM.These action where always done from same management window and we
also detect that for every try the buffered I/O byte count quota was decreased.
The system didn't give back the pages !!!! After the last try we had to
restart MCC.
By the command line interface I could register the ds300 as a station
with the selection of IEEE802-ONLY(All the other fails.
I adapt also the parameters for the MCC account with MCC_AUDIT.COM.
Could somebody give me some advise or explain me the reason why mcc is not
giving back the pages ???
I need an answer because we will need to register a lot of station entities
for this project??

What OS/HW are you running mcc on?

The config is a MV 3100-80 with VMS V5.5-2 and PNM 200 V1.3.

I have exactly the same problem on a REAL .... customer site. They are evaluating our famous POLYCENTER Framework on DECnet/OSI. So if we still have some interest for these products can somebody try to explain what is going on. See also note 5752, 5323.
