Did you try enabling polling only from the top-most domain? The
IP Poller polls entities in subdomains automatically.

In the first test (I enabled IP POLLER in each domain...), i
enabled the IP POLLER in several domains belonging to a same hierarchy.

The second test (Then i created ...), in fact was done in an
existing domain in my hierarchy (not a new one as i said before). In this
existing domain, i enabled the IP poller and i got several
notifications for each IP reachability event.

    	Regards,

I will try to reproduce the behaviour on my system. I am busy
with some other things at the moment, so I hope you will bear
	with me.

It's been quite a while, so I don't remember how the problem was
resolved. But one possible reason that comes to my mind for multiple
notifications is that the user might have alarms enabled for
reachability events. Since reachability events are notification events,
they automatically show up as notifications. Having alarms on the
same events would cause multiple notifications to show up.
Let me know if this is the case. You may also try sending mail to
Bernard (MARS03::THOMAS) and ask him how this problem was resolved
	(if at all).
	Rahul.

| 5604.7 | No Alarms for IP REACHABILITY | SALUD::ORTIZ |  | Thu Jun 02 1994 11:01 | 9 |
| | The customer is not using any alarms on IP REACHABILITY. I was able
to talk to Bernard Thomas and he stated that the problem has NOT been
fixed. He was able to minimize the amount of notifications to 3 by
having the ip node only in the top domain.

It looks to me like this is a bug. I am wanting a better workaround
    , if possible...
