    I know there are some people out there using the alarm manager. Well as
    most of you know there have been some changes in strategy which have
    caused the alarm manager upgrade (including a much larger and more
    comprehensize template database) to be shelved a few months ago. Well
    with the strategy clearing up around here it has been decided that the
    alarm manager is still a useful tool, but that we are not going to be
    productizing it.
    
    A new kit with a significant number of enhancements and new features
    has been created for internal use, or to be used as prototype software
    in delivering mcc to customers.  This kit has been tested around here
    but I would like to have a few users who are willing to install the kit
    give it a try and a thumbs up for releasing it to the general mcc
    community.
    
    If you would like to volunteer to be one of these people please send me
    mail by wendesday 9-22. Hopefully I will get enough responses by then
    to have this tested and released by the end of the week.
    
    Sorry for the rush but I have accepted a job elsewhere in the company
    and would like to get this released prior to my leaving.
