Are there any known problems with running DECmcc V1.3 on a VMS V5.5-2 system with DECnet/OSI for OpenVMS V1.0 (Wave-2 I think...) ? My customer is having problems sinking events from a PhaseIV system and getting the Icons on the Iconic Map to change color. I have read and implemented most all of the suggestions in this conference related to events from PhasIV nodes without success. We are now considering upgradiung to Wave-3 (DECnet/OSI V5.6). Is this the right move ? Thanks, George :-)

MCC V1.3 was developed and tested with wave II (Wave III wasn't available at the time) and works fine. I suspect you are having problems with the setup, or if you only installed the base wave II SSB kit then you may be hitting a known problem with CML which they shipped and later fixed in an update. There are several notes in here about that. | |||||

another thought, make sure the account you are running from is also set up with the proper NET$ identifier(s). I believe all you need to grant is NET$EXAMINE but consult the DECnet/OSI VMS documentation for more detail. |
