Hello,
I have the following question:
We create some notification
MCC> Notify domain domain.rle expand=true, -
events= (any configuration events), -
entoty list = (SNMP *), -
to file = test.txt
%MCC-S-NOTIFSTART, notify request 7 started
..... 1 minute later.......
%MCC-E-NOTIFEXCP, notify request 7 enncountered an exception
.... in the LOG file test.txt
Unexpected condition returned to Notification FM.
Exception encountered = The Event Sink is running, but not
communication; cannot restart Sink.
---> What does this Errormessage mean? I can't find them in the messagebook.
---> What is the reason for this message?
---> It seems that after this message no further Traps are logged.
Is that right?

I read the entry 4977 but there is no solution and the problem still exists.
Is there a solution or a workarround?

The problem was believed to have been caused by UCX entering into
weird state. Restarting UCX seemed to have got rid of the problem.
Sometimes exiting and restarting MCC would also get rid of the
problem. No one really investigated this problem to any depth, so
we do not know what exactly causes this to occur. Have you restarted
everything to see if the problem goes away?

| I was out for the last view days. I will try to restart everything and will
tell the customer "Sorry, we don't have an other solution than to try to
restart" <-- Sorry for being so cynical :-)
