5546.0. "Need info on LANCEtap and DECmcc" by CENPCS::BIRMINGHAM (Does anyone know who is in charge here...) Fri Aug 27 1993 11:17
I have a customer who is currently using a network management package
from Multinet ( package was originally developed by Micro-Technology and
later sold to Multinet) that will no longer be supported on VMS. The
network pods are called 'LANCEtaps', and the customer has these
deployed across his extended LAN. He wants to know if DECmcc will
monitor these pods. He thinks that they speak TCP/IP to the current
monitoring host software.
Does anyone know what these are, and if DECmcc can dela with them ?
Thanks,
George

I think you can access the LANCE pods, if they support RMON.
