My customer has a security problem with maintaining UAF files. To have the same UAF file they maintained one UAF and copied it to the other clusteres. Now they had an inhouse security audit which didn't like that. Now they have to find an other way to have the same UAF information on different clusters without maintaining each of the clusteres UAF. Does DECmcc support in the next version maintenance for UAF's over the net from a single point? Thanks for any help Wolfgang Pfister

5376.1 | You can try Polycenter Account Manager | MQOSWS::F_MONETTE | Montreal Sales Support | Thu Jul 22 1993 13:06 | 6 |
The purpose of polycenter account manager is to provide that kind of functionnality. regards, Francois
5376.2 | MCC should *NOT* do the UAF! | CSOADM::ROTH | Light fuse and retire quickly | Thu Jul 22 1993 13:09 | 6 |
I would vote for MCC to have nothing to do with the UAF... I have a strong dislike of products that try to perform system management functions. If you think UAF file management is an issue, take it up the the VMS devlopers. Lee

I was tried to sell Polycenter Account Manager, but this product will retire on 3. August. So I thought DECmcc maybe a possibility. |
