5370.0. "Excessive RDB reads" by CUSTOM::STAFFORD () Wed Jul 21 1993 23:03
I am using the export function to insert data in real-time mode into a
RDB table. The problem that I am having is excessive disk IO operations
on the RDB file from the subprocess created by the background export
process. By using the RDB statistic monitoring tools, I was able to
determin that the process is performing thousands of reads on the data
portion of the database.
The questions I have are:
1 What is causing this I/O , why is it doing so many read operations
2 How do I stop it.
This I/O problem is restricting the usage of MCC.
Any help on the issue would be appreciated.
