I just installed POLYCENTER Network Manager 200 on VAXstation 4000-60,
with specification as follows :
- O.S : Open VMS v5.5-2
- DECnet/OSI v1.0 + DECdns server,DECdts server,no application
- Memory : 40 MB
- TS-AM 1.2 additional module
The installation process was succeed, and also TS-AM module (I used
IVP), after that I started DECMCC-BMS and TS-AM as follows :
- $ @sys$startup:ucx$startup
- $ @sys$startup:mcc_startup_bms
- $ @sys$startup:mcc_ts_am_startup
But, when I opened the iconic map, I got 2 problem :
1. I couldn't find Terminal_Server icon in Tool Box window.
2. I couldn't register DECnet-IV node. I got error messages :
Internal error in DECnet Phase IV AM
Questions :
What should I do for question #1 & #2 ?

The DECnet internal error is probably due to a bug in the
SSB version of DECnet/OSI. You need to install the DECnet/OSI
mup, to get a new version of CML.EXE with a fix. However, the
MUP also has a packaging problem where it restores CML.EXE with the
wrong protection so it never gets activated. After the installation
make sure you set the protection to W:RE.
See note 4011.* for more info.

| 5346.2 | There is no TERMINAL_SERVER icon in the Tool Box window | ZPOVC::INDO03::YINARTO | Thu Jul 22 1993 03:48 | 13 | |
Thanks for your help.
Now, I can use DECmcc BMS, to manage Phase-IV node.
By the way, I still can't manage terminal server from iconic map
because there is no TERMINAL_SERVER icon in the Tool Box window
and still use TS-AM V1.0.0.
Every respon will be appreciated
Thanks,...
