IMPM Question
I'm running POLYCENTER 400 with a 6000 VAXcluster, (VMS 5.5). The IMPM
display is setup using a non-DEC PC. When I startup the IMPM I get the
following message:
Software Error Unable to Fetch Widget ! AD from
MCC_UIL:MCC_ICONIC_MAP_PM.UID
The resulting effect is that the lock on the IMPM does NOT appear. I
can still "unlock map", however, I'm very curious about this strange
stuff...
The s/w that allows for the DECwindows GUI is Digital's PC DECwindows
and we've got motif v1.1 on the Server.
When I run eXcursions, although not the preferred method, this problem
does NOT occur... Any ideas??? Thanks in advance and keep this great
stuff coming...!

Sounds like the PC DECwindows X server doesn't support putting the lock
(which is a button with a pixmap for a label) in the menubar. You
might ask the PC DECwindows folks what the deal is.

Very odd... I am running SSB V1.3 DECmcc on a 4000/90 VMS, same thing as described in .0 has happened, except in my case I am using the workstation tube itself. I have not changed/upgraded Motif or any other software... the only thing I was doing was working on new background map for one of my domains... I 'quit' the IPM and restarted it and got the 'widget' message as outlined in the basenote. Also, instead of having the default 'dark blue' colors in my icons I have them as BLACK. Will restart windows to see if this changes anything... Lee

Well, all I did was competely exit my windows session and log into VMS again and all is well. Lee
