I am using the copy domain program both in FCL and under the operations menu without success. I am able to copy the 36 entities without problem. However the icons change from routers to snmp icons. The placement in the new domain is in rows not spread out like the original map and there are no ethernet backbones drawn. Anyone ever successfully do this? When I talked to Colorado this morning they had never tried this although it is documented. Thanks.

Yes, after you copy the old domain to new domain, go into the new domain map and save it. This will create a file mcc_###.mcc_map_newdomainname, then take the old domain file mcc_###.mcc_map_olddomainname, and rename it to the new one. This will give the map the characteristics of the old domain. Lou - save it then exit map - - , creating file called mcc_###.mcc_map_newdomainname - then rename file mcc_###.mcc_map_olddomainname to mcc_###.mcc_map_newdomainname

I guess this is normal behaviour. I just copies the domain members, but does not copy the map file. You can edit your new map file and modify it with the help of the old one. Catherine
