Hello,
I try to find a way to automate a telnet login using an input file
(which contents username, password, and some commands) and an output
file to get the respons.
This will be done from a VMS machine with TCP/IP services for OpenVMS.
A same demand has be done in note 3055 but there is no respons.
Someone told me that it already exists on a Unix machine with a soft
named EXPECT and a command language named TCL. Expect is written by DON
LIBES (NIST). Does anybody know where I can find the ftp anonymous
server where are the EXPECT and TCL kits?
Thanks for your help,
Brigitte

The note 3055 is from LASSIE::CONNECTION (DEC TCP/IP services for VMS).
I post this note here because i want to have telnet session for
administration of CISCO routers, and I think that a lot people have
this kind of problem when they do administration.
Thanks
Brigitte

Hi, I made few months ago telnet emulator for ultrix. Commands are red from input file. My command language is quite simple, verbs supported: send, sleep, expect. But it's enough for my purposes with DECmcc script AM. If you are interested in to test my piece of software contact me directly, Email EEMELI::KINNARI. Rgds, //pasi | |||||
