Doubleclick on the node shows only "MTS..." subentity Register any "NODE4" fails with : " Internal error in DECnet Phase IV AM" registration of SNMP entities works fine Bottom question : Has Anyone mcc with Wave3 up and running ??? 5257.1 | DNA_NODESYNONYM Location is the reason | VNASWS::HONISCH | Guenter Honisch ACT Austria | Thu Jun 24 1993 12:19 | 17 |
I think we found the reason , the "DNA_NodeSynonym" Directory is not in the normal Root Location but also in the .net.aco tree. The Customer needs to use this Location, because they own only this Part of the HEPnet (High Energy physics net) They can't put the nodesynonym in the Root. I thought that the MCC_DNS_ROOT logical should allow this, but it does not... In DECnet following Logicals are defined: DECNET_MIGRATE_DIR_SYNONYM = .NET.ACO.DNA_NODESYNONYM NCL also shows the right Location NCL> sho sess contr node syn dir Node Synonym Directory = ACMCC:.NET.ACO.DNA_NODESYNONYM So I believe it's a Bug not a Feature ... 5257.2 | MCC_DNS_ROOT does not apply to .DNA_* directories | TOOK::KWAK | Thu Jul 15 1993 18:56 | 6 | |
The MCC_DNS_ROOT logical does not apply to the .DNA_Nodesynonym directory nor to the .DNA_Backtranslation directory as stated in the DECmcc V1.3 Release notes. William |
