5226.0. "alarms get disabled bug or feature?" by SUBWAY::AMMU () Fri Jun 18 1993 13:33
All my alarms, run only once, and then get disabled. I looked at
/var/mcc/mcc_Thu_error.log , it has
%MCC-S-RESPONSE, success with response reply. This doesnt look like
an error to me, but it disabled the alarm.
Here is a sample alarm
> domain .domain.cisco rule cisco_lan_novellNoroute
Expression = (change_of (snmp * cisco temporary novell
novellNoroute,*,* ),at every 00:30:00)
There are 30 or 40 ciscos in the domain, and I have to use
the wild card. Just because one or two ciscos, or not responding,
or down, or doesnot support the above attribute (rev level pb),
the alarm should not be disabled. I understand there is no
immediate fix to this, however I would like to know if there is
any workaround for this.
Is this bug or feature? bug for wildcard, feature for single device
