    Greetings,
    
    I have a customer who is in need of reports on system availability (or
    down time) over a given period, eg a month.  The entities are SNMP
    (cisco routers, Chipcom hubs) and Node (ULTRIX LANservers).  Has anyone
    got a "canned" report script, or a mechanism for quickly producing such
    a report ?  If it is not inherant in DECmcc at the moment, which
    product would enable such a report to be generated ?
    
    Also, has anyone produced a procedure for detecting new IP nodes, eg
    autodiscovery ?  We ahd a chipcom hub go down at a site and it wasn't
    even registered with DECmcc, but SUNnet Manager picked it up and
    reported on the failure.
    
    This is quite urgent, as we are on the back foot in the customer's
    eyes.
